Featured Photo - Cherry Blossoms

Cherryblossomcs2_01_2

This has been one of the most beautiful springtimes that I can remember.  The extended cool weather (thank you Lord) plus an adequate rainfall which has not been accompanied by excessive wind forces, have all combined to give us a glorious blooming season.  The cherry trees, from a distance, were cotton candy on a stick.  Up close, the lustrous off-white colors tinged with pink were a near perfect counter point to the green stems.

I love photography but don't have the time to spend on it that I would prefer.  This photo is enhanced of course.  The back ground was distracting so I masked it off and cut way back on its brightness and contrast.  In doing so I experimented with giving it a color tinge.  I kind of liked what happened so here it is.
