My Life Verse

God causes all things to work together for good, for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose...

Throughout my life, in all its ups and downs, this has been the one constant truth I can confess.

Some badly needed balance in the debate. Thanks, Arch.

Although there is (at least in my mind) a very clear parallel here between the Christian view of the Word and the (proper) American view of the Constitution (we're in trouble on both counts when we forget that we have made a covenant to obligate ourselves to be subservient to both, the one in the spiritual sphere and the other in the civil), we do need to remember that even the Constitution is a human document and ultimately up for amendment, as has happened on numerous occasions. Having said that, we still do well to consider thoughtfully whether or not our laws, even at the most fundamental level, are in keeping with the principles of God's revelation of His character and priorities. Given the context in which you have here presented the right to keep and bear arms, I believe you have made the case that that right is based on solid ground, while demonstrating how easily human depravity can turn it into a force for evil.

great man :D
